Hello and welcome,

We are Jenny and Helen Dewhirst, the founders of dewdrops and sisters who share a lifelong passion for working with children and supporting families.

Before creating this space, we both spent many years working in childcare environments. We are qualified Child care practitioners, and throughout our careers we’ve had the privilege of caring for and supporting many wonderful children and their families. Those experiences helped shape our understanding of what little ones need to thrive and what parents truly appreciate in a space designed for them.

Alongside our childcare experience, we are also trained baristas and share a love for great coffee and welcoming café culture. Bringing these two worlds together felt like the perfect idea: a place where children can play safely and happily, while parents and carers can relax and enjoy a good coffee in a comfortable environment.

Creating this café is also deeply personal to us. Our family previously ran Dewhirst Coaches, a business that was built on hard work, dedication, and strong connections with the local community. This new venture is our way of honouring that legacy while creating something that reflects the next chapter for our family.

We’ve designed this space with care, experience, and a genuine love for what we do. Our hope is that it becomes somewhere families feel welcome, children feel free to explore, and everyone leaves with a smile.
